Summary of Role:
The site liaison is a volunteer position ensures great communication and a connection between the Girls on the Run staff, coaches and the site. It is common for the site liaison to also serve in the role as head coach.
Core Duties/Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Act as primary contact with GOTR staff
- Assisting in the recruitment of at least three coaches for the site
- Setting up a meeting with coaches prior to the start of the season
- Coordinating practice space at site (indoor and outdoor)
- Providing GOTR with necessary info for online program registration (practice days and times, key contacts, etc.)
- Working with site to distribute materials explaining registration to all girls who will be in 3-5 grade (GOTR) and/or 6-8 grade (GOT) at the time of the season
- Take the lead on marketing the program to parents and age-appropriate girls via PTO meetings, newsletter articles, faculty/staff meetings, website, open houses, etc. prior to registration period
- Act as primary contact if school or parents have questions
- Coordinating picking up items from GOTR office such as marketing materials, supplies, t-shirts, etc. several times throughout the season
- Providing occasional feedback to the GOTR Sedgwick County council as requested or as necessary
- Reading/reviewing weekly communication from GOTR staff and taking necessary actions
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Requirements:
- Male or Female
- At least 21-years-old
- Consent to background check
- Attend a four-hour coaches training with Girls on the Run Sedgwick County staff
