What's new at Girls on the Run - Fall 2024

Great things are happening at Girls on the Run this month! We couldn't be happier to share that we have a new staff member joining our team. Join us in welcoming Camille as our new Program Manager. She has been connected with Girls on the Run for nearly a decade, having first been introduced through her sorority, Gamma Phi Beta. She has volunteered as a coach for many seasons and has directly seen the incredible impact that Girls on the Run has. She believes that every girl has limitless potential and is thrilled to help unlock this potential in a new way for Girls on the Run Heart of Kansas.

The month of August is a busy time for GOTR! From attending community events, to several "Meet the Teacher" nights, we are committed to connecting with families and sharing the lifechanging programs that we offer for 3rd-8th grade girls in our community. Our Fall season will begin the week of September 23rd, and registration is OPEN at https://www.girlsontherunks.org

Want to support GOTR while having a great meal? Join us at Oak & Pie on Tuesday, August 20th (anytime from 11:00AM-10:00PM) and 5% of all sales, including gift cards will be donated back to our organization! Hope to see you there.

August also means holding volunteer coach training for the Fall 2024 season. Over 80 volunteer coaches foster empathy and acceptance by empowering participants to build strong connections with one another, regardless of their backgrounds, abilities, or beliefs. Coaches receive all the tools and support they need and find that they get as much out of coaching as they give.
